Starting Salary for Starhub and Telcos
 

Does anyone have any idea what's the starting salary for a 2.1 hons engineering graduate at Starhub? I was told that they pay only 3k regardless of honours class, which is surprisingly low. Apparently singtel pays better, up to 3.5k for fresh grads.

Sounds about right I guess. Have a friend who got an offer from Starhub and rejected it for ST because they were paying too low.

I am not surprised. Local telcos aren't known for paying well, in fact quite the opposite.

you should try starhub call centre.. 3000+ if you do OT.

i mean, if you are a normal exec you will also willingly do OT right? 1 or 2 hours every night.

so if you work there call centre and work 2 hours extra a night, your pay will exceed 3500 for sure.

3K not enough for you - when you are engineer?
Engineers in Singapore having it tough. 3K seems like a decent starting pay. There are tons of people making 2+ in their first.

Singtel if 3.5K, that is seriously not bad.

And reject to go ST?
From what I hear, ST pay is not that competitive, like 2+K starting.

Bro, these days fresh engineering grads can get an average of 3.2 - 3.4k starting pay and ST while not known for high salary, pays at least 3.2k starting.

Fresh grade FC honors engineering grads starting should be 3650-3800, lower class honors min 3500.
