I'm not surprised at that amount. Seems normal at the banks I've worked in.

Foreign bank BO VP range is quite wide, but normally 200-300k depending on experience.

Varies quite a bit in Barcap.
My boss, VP for 5 years. ~250k.
Another guy, VP for 8 years. ~180k.

Why did I not take banking in poly last time? I could have chosen it and gone onto to banking & finance in uni....DAMN...

I used to make $400k pa. in a IB. Own 4 condos, big car, etc. Then got retrenched.
Had to sell 2 condos and pay off loan of the other 2. So now own 2 fully paid condos, worth only $3m in total. Living in one condo and earning rental from one condo, earning $6k pm. Had to sell car too. Stopped drinking, women, etc. Living a humble life in a D15 condo.
