some 7-8 years, some 20 years, some never as most change job.

20 years likely for any poor performer who dislikes OT (weekend burnt, work till late night), avoid pressurizing assignment given by bosses, lack of leadership and teamwork ..etc……) So these people take years to gain a single promotion. My friend, we are in a dog-eat-dog world, so promotion is never certain.
