how to handle background checks
Hi, I have been working more than 20 years now as an admin assistant, most of the time in ad-hoc and temp jobs. Many of my jobs did not last more than 6 months. I recently got a perm job in an MNC but background checks are proving difficult. Many of the comapnies I worked for have either folded up. I have all the CPF statements, IT notice of assessments, employment certificate, etc, but the background checks company says that they want the employer to verify. I am stuck. What to do under such cases? Is it my fault that the company I worked with 6 years ago has shut shop?

handling background checks
You are out of luck. Most background checks these days go back more than 20 years and border on violation of privacy as well.
Why don't you start a business of your own instead?
