I think I posted a lot of information here already, and the pay figures for Project Managers are accurate (For Barclays anyway)
But trust whatever sources you have, you make your own decision ultimately and its your career move.
Here the two listing for project managers in Barclays dated Nov, read the description and decide how much you think you deserve to get paid if you wanna apply. (Though I believe the hiring managers are only permitted to hire internally for now)
One is IT another is Ops but in reality so long as you have the relevant business knowledge and some IT project methodology you can apply for both. IT programming knowledge is just a bonus.

Not 10K a month for most.
And certainly not 3 or 4 months' bonus, God...
Get it out of all your heads that BC pays that kind of bonuses. It has stopped doing so years ago.

Well I am from Barclays back office and I got close to 3.5 months bonus last year, so not sure why some people are claiming Barclays does not pay bonus... I think it depends on individual performance, my rating was just above average, so the good ones likely got >4 months.

Mind revealing your total compensation last year?

All in including bonus and allowances was slightly short of $150k, but to clarify I do service standards compliance, not IT. But the difference should not be big since we are in the same back office.
Anyway if IT really had no bonus everyone would have heard of it, so far they seem to be getting around same as us, so not sure why people are claiming Barclays not been paying bonus since 2008. Definitely not true over here.

Which Barclays arm are you in?
When someone makes no difference between them, I'll be skeptical.
With the salary restructuring years ago following the move to tax bonus pools, BC's bonus component shrank to close-to-nothing. And it has always since been the case.

I agree with this reply. I am not sure if the earlier post is from Barclays Group or Barcap (which has a diff). I am from Barcap, AVP back office (Finance). And I can confirm that there has been major restructuring in the salary and bonus (Fixed and variable) since 2008. Most of the IB industry would know what I mean on the Barcap unique move of fixed bonus. Due to that, variable bonus has been very little, almost nil for a lot of Finance staff. So the earlier post on 3-4 months VB is hard for me to believe!

The exact bonus determination is confidential and unless you are from compensation rewards side, normal employee will only know what they get personally. I think it will depend on a lot of factors and cannot just summaries by assuming everyone in Barclays will get the same bonus.
Maybe both sides are correct, just that some people heng in the right place at right time get good bonus, some more suay so no bonus.
