Bank: Product control
 

hi, i'm currently employed by a foreign bank doing the PnL for the treasury dealers(sales). Always been interested to join become a product controller. Anyone know how can i achieve that ? i.e how to hunt for product control job. as i know from some agent usually this kind of job is more of internal move or have certain relevant experience.

you can get pdt control jobs if you have either of the below:

1st class honors (Barcap 80% of the pdt controllers i know are all 1st class)
ACCA or Accountancy degrees with good results
Know someone inside who could refer you in
Prior Big 4 experience doing something similar or relevant
Masters in Financial Engineering, if you are transitioning from backoffice to middle office pdt control roles

are you referring to the top investment bank product control? those product control that i know in most banks dont need to be that "up".

BC is tops.
Even for (some) IT people, >5 rounds of interview.

Agreed wholeheartedly. The product control people i know are from SIM... Graduates from NTU Acct ran a mile when asked to join them.

yeah man. i'm from SIM also. been looking for a product control role for a year now. not 1 respond to me except for a maternity cover at DBS. but didn't got the job. sadly
