u shouldnt have waste $$$ & time on a useless pt degree. the job market needs ppl with relevant work exp and tech certs, not low std degrees.

Don't give up! After graduating for 8 months, part of which includes 2.5 months of active searching, i managed to find a job in an acct company. Definitely harder since I didn't go to NUS/ NTU/ SMU.
I didn't take the first three job offers (all with 2 yr bond) that were given to me. Some may say it is foolish to be picky but it was for the best, because what was offered, wasn't what I wanted to do. Best to take a few months off, and apply for something you like because it is very time wasting and difficult to change accounting specializations. All the best!

Talking about being unemployed, I'm unemployed for about 9 months before I gotten a job, went for lots and lots of interview and I remembered I had a really bad experience with one company.
I have been to a company on top of peninsula plaza for interview several months ago. It was an unforgettable experience because it was my first interview and it was so bad! The interviewer was so arrogant and he looked down on me because I'm a fresh graduate and showed zero respect for me during the interview. If you do not wish to hire fresh graduates, then do not state that you welcome fresh grads to apply! It was so shocked at that moment that someone at such respectable position will actually speak like this and disrespect the interviewee.
Thinking back of this experience still makes my blood boils!

What sort of decent company will even set up office at Peninsula Plaza in the first place? I doubt there are any 'respectable position' in this sort of co. will be interviewing a fresh grad.

I guess he is referring to a high position person like a director or something.

Having a director name card says nothing, especially from a dubious company in Peninsula Plaza. It's probably just a 3 man show towkay or a low level/pay idiot with fancy pants title, don't need to feel bad about it cauz the interviewer is likely a joke himself.
