When is a good time to start sending out resumes then? I am already in mid-20s and I feel I am already way pass the "relax" stage ... Have to get a job ASAP to do a decent living. There isn't much to do in last semester as well since I have cleared almost all of the mods.

Start sending out resumes then. There is nothing wrong with being pro-active. Bearing in mind that the job market out there is getting more and more saturated with each passing day.

This is rubbish advise. Be cognizant of the job market situation. It is very competitive out there now to get a job. Once a company employed someone, it is hard for the company to "suka-suka" replace them especially at the executive levels.

On the other hand, once you landed a job, you can always take a break for holiday or even quit when you have earned enough.

But the person also can't start work now even if he starts sending his resume now. He's only graduating in Dec.

This may be rubbish advice to u but bear in mind that everyone has different perspectives. There are graduates who took a few months to a year break to pursue what they want or travel before they settle down in a 9 to 5 job.

Safe acceptable answer would be, you used the gap time to:
(1) learn the skills that are applicable in the job you're applying to.
(2) some urgent family / personal matter (one that's unlikely to be re-occuring, of course).
(3) help a friend with business venture that didn't quite work out (you can still chalk it up to valuable experience for the job you're applying to)

Don't dwell on this gap with long answer. Move on quickly to talk about your relevant experience and what you can contribute to the new job.
