More than 6 months, nearly one year in fact

Which is why I've left it on my resume

one of the tertiary institutions. that's the problem, because my jobscope was very specific, it's difficult to find a similar role. or rather, to convince any employer that my experience can 'fit' their role

I thinking would it be your last drawn is on the high side ? as i believe statboard salary should be not bad one plus you have been working there for quite sometime
last drawn around 5k only.. nowhere near high

do you think its better to leave the last drawn field empty when i send applications?

5k is consider high if your experience is just general experience

Mind to say roughly what your area of job scope e.g account , hr , IT

Yar can try dont put last drawn actually for me i don't put last drawn i only put expected salary with nego on the side

try going into research / education / national archives / heritage board / museum / arts center / policy reformulation roles

i would think history majors have very good analytical and writing skills, so do look out for relevant corporate/admin roles. Take a look at careers@gov portal and sieve the jobs according to these types of roles. Good luck!

I am currently 30 years old degree holder (from nus, 2nd upper), and earn around 5.5k in civil service. Is that considered average/below average as compared to my peers in private sector
