Now my salary for July still havent paid to me and I am working like hell.

So is this a very big red flag to leave this company ?
SME? power leh your colleague.. lol..
Suggest to observe for the next 2 weeks how's the situation. If really horrible, maybe can just leave without a job. No point working and NOT GETTING PAID. And which boss actually allows the staff to just screamed at him.

Yes. It is SME. I actually calculated my own salary and get the boss to sign off a cheque for me. I don't foresee doing this every month for myself without a proper accountant . It is not fair for me . Now the problem is what about the CPF contribution ? And the company contribution ? The boss seem nonchalant about the finance part of the company. The finance part is done by that colleague. And there are other monthly payout to despatch, phoneline all that. Now I have to take care of all that ?? The boss never say anything. What the hell ? And I am not in accounting position.

I verbally accepted an offer. Subsequently I received an offer fr another company.
Should I go back to the first company to negotiate for better terms? Or will it not reflect good on myself?

Is it just me or most of the jobs I want to apply (due to limited exp) are contract jobs??

What happen to entry level PERMANENT degree jobs. I have to resort to finding diploma jobs and even that are on contract basis...

Feeling damn stressed, depressed and sian.

Default Background Screening

Just to share this story of mine, which currently is still unfolding.

I left my last job in March 2019 and in my CV i did not indicate that i already left. The reason is i dont want companies to keep asking me why i left without a job. Based on my experiences, 99% of the company that is going to hire you will not call back to your "current" or previous company, especially so if you indicate that you are still working there.

In July i went to this aerospace company, got selected and they conducted a background screening, I did not know that companies in aerospace conduct such detail checks. Later did i know that it is due to the nature of the industry. After 3 weeks of checks on passport, education and employment, they discovered that i indicated i was still working in my ex company although i already left in March. And today, they asked me for reasons for this discrepancy ...

They should conduct checks before hiring not after hiring. Waste of each other time if there are descrapancies. Sometimes,, when i stated in resume still working in current company, which really is the case, the interview will assume I not working liao. Then I say still working and they seem shocked. What do they expect, jobless and they ask why resign without job, and if still working, they will be surprised why I still in current company if going for interviews. These interviewers really want us to go hungry ah ?

You are a liar and you lied. Face up to your own mistake. Otherwise you deserve to lose the offer. Don't blame them for checking/not checking!
