Hi, would you stay in a job that pays quite well but no more career progression and low job satisfaction? Or would u move out of comfort zone, look elsewhere and be even willing to take a pay cut if nec? Late 30s.

It depends on what you are looking for in your career right? If you preferred stable job, then stay lor.. anyway market isn't doing too well now. If you are someone who is driven and eager to learn, then go for something else. You will be able to earn back that little paycut one day.

Is it necessary to send thank you email after interviews? I've been to few interviews. Some went ok, some not. And I'm thinking if i should do something different by sending thank email to interviewers after interview. Views please?

Paycut also have to see how much. N will you be ok with that paycut amount?Lets said the amount is more than 10%. It might take you quite a few years to even earn back that amount.

But if what you are learning will benefit you alot and when you move on to another company, maybe you might be able to earn way more than if not, its best you stay on your current job.

Late 30s so u have to see what is your priorities and also in another 5-10 years will you be able to find a new job with higher pay with your new skill? Don't forget that by the time you are ready to move on, you are already in your 40s and what you know might be the norm or there is already a pool of talent in the market for employers to tap on but younger than you.
