This is a very good point...but at least we have the April cash payout to look forward to, if that's any minor consolation. Guys please write in to MP as well to see if there's anything they can do. I know they accept appeals for some unemployed persons (whether covid or not) as my friend tried and MP replied.

Would like some advice. I work in the healthcare sector, which is a resilient industry but doesn't exactly pay very well. I would like to grow my wealth but is relatively new to investment.
so far the only portfolio that I have is a monthly blue Chip investment plan with ocbc to sti etf.
I would like to check if ocbc roboinvest programme is a good choice to start with? (I think now is a good time to start investment given the market volatility as I am happy to hold my investments for the long term)

Not really can get in so easily. HR contacted me to get referee, thereafter a week later called me to notify they are done with the reference check and will update me within 2 weeks time due to pending approval. However there's no updates after 2 weeks and so i dropped an email today to check in and was sad to being told they are still in midst of interviewing and selecting candidates and will update me again.
Waste my time waiting and not sending out resumes for that 2 weeks as i thought i found job. No idea why cant be clear cut say not selected than call to give false hopes.

Sometimes they just want to see more candidates... I got offered a stat board job 3 months after interview. At first I thought I was like no. 923263 choice but then they were saying they needed some time to interview all shortlisted candidates and then seek approval for the salary I was asking. Too late though, already signed somewhere else.
So maybe there is still hope! Of course don't stop sending that resume. All the best!

I wonder why HR had to contact you to get referee, when you already put that in the c@g application? Is government HR so incompetent that she / he does not realise that there is a referee field which needs to be filled in before the application can even be submitted?

Hi guys, i am new here. Desperately need some advice because I've been jodless for nearly a year now.
Got fired from my last job due to incompetence. I thought the job would be a best fit at least in terms of my skills and passion.
Now I realise that maybe I'm not that good at my "passion", and I've lost all interest in it pretty much.
I'm not good with either words or numbers, and so I don't know what to do next. Physical labour also cannot, I got a lot of medical conditions that prevent me from even becoming macs service staff.
How ah?
