2) 2 years in a large local aviation MRO firm
3) 5 months with a local telco (quit without a job as environment was too toxic)

I quit my latest job after just 5 months without finding another job as it was too toxic. Been jobless for 1 month and still can't find something that I really like.

Anyone having similar issues after quitting a job after a short period of time?
Jobless for one month. Relax, take a week to meditate and find out what you really want. It is not the time to hit the panic button yet, there are several who are jobless for years

usually i will say due to restructuring/high turnover and they will have no further questions, but the problem now is securing interviews in the first place seems like sg companies are very judgemental towards someone leaving a short stint without another job

Hiring manager here, your 5 months experience is a black spot in your resume, I would recommend you to put your reason of leaving in your resume, else I won’t be wasting time for such candidate as there are too many applicants.

If u hv a short stint in previous job, would restructuring sound like a convincing reason to the interviewer?

If we leave after one year without a job, what will sound alright to a hiring manager?

I have a pal who is jobless or I should say, refuse to work for 1.5 years. He believe in finding the job that he really like. up till now, he is still cherry picking... he is 40yo this year and he hasnt hit the panic button yet.

he is not exactly a high flyer, just contented with job that pays him 3k per month.
