No wonder the company is famous for the wrong reason...

Damn substandard way of doing things from the way I see it..
I think nowadays email to seek interview is quite normal. Out of 5 recent interviews, 3 was from email instead of call. And all are big firms. So advice is to check your email every now and then.

Thats y i say the HRs of today are getting more substandard. Just plain lazy with minimal sense of professionalism.. working overly smart just for that paycheck ..

I remember there was a job which I almost didn't go for the interview because I was waiting for calls. Instead, I 'surprisingly' found out the interviewer asked me to go for interview after I casually log into my email account to check for new mails. Subsequently, all correspondence were via email. I'd thought such approach are the most insincere.

Means it is a red light already. Better to shun such company before you regret joining.

27 years old here, have been unemployed for 8 months since last working at a company for 2yrs.
Thought that I know what I wanted with my job but suddenly realized that there is no meaning in my work and left. Now feeling at lost not knowing what to do after several interviews with other companies.

Girlfriend have left me since and I can't even imagine having a relationship with anyone in my current state and let alone getting married in the future. Probably just going to hang on and find job that would interest me.

Interesting, as a person who just entered the workforce, I personally feel correspondence via email will be better because you are not restricted to giving a response so quickly.

However, a call is still required to inform you the initial details and followed up by an email. Then the thereafter correspondence can be followed up by emails.

Are you a minority race person? Just out of curiosity....

Anyway just improve your prepared answers and at least apply 2 jobs everyday - it is a matter of numbers and luck sometimes too.
