Accounting is a better choice. Get the experience and try to get into big 4 as MNCs would prefer that.
If you are looking at money solely, join mindef/MHA.
mindef: 4.6k starting pay. Up to 5k for first class honours after adding allowances. Choose miltary expert for less xiong-ness
MHA: SPF, CNB, ISD etc a tab lower but still 4k minimum.
At least you do not have to worry about retrenchment haha.

Actually I am not really looking for stability. I want to venture about in the private sector, the MNCs. Hope to steadily rise up the corporate ladder. I am not asking for much. just one day maybe I am 30++ years old I can earn 8,000 a month

Seems to me that you are just looking at money. To earn 8k/month, you need to be in a right position, right industry and meet the right people. On top of that, you need the capability to earn that amount. Willingness to work hard will not get you there.
If you are a scholar, go civil service.
Non scholar, do sales, marketing, banking, financial consultant, real estate agent or trading. Even accounting can get you there if you are made a partner.
Yet the truth is that out of 100 people, 80 want to be in the top seat. Like a race, there is only 1 prize. 1 of them gets the prize and 79 are disappointed. Are you sure you got what it takes to clinch the top prize? It is very important to be realistic and set attainable goals as well as having contingency plans. Otherwise its like the many who join investment banking for the money but soon realised that they do not possess the gift of the gab or the skills needed to sell the products.

great advice bro. I just wanna get my ass into Exxon. One of my relative got in 10 years ago at 1,700. Today he is making 19, 750. Deputy Managing Director with his own chaffeur and maid and a house fully paid for in PRC.
The best policy is get in to a large co. like exxon, chevron, microsoft, apple and work hard stay loyal. one day you might just get rich$$$$$$$$$$

Well summarised. At the end of the day, one has to be realistic and not get blinded by all those stories of great success and wealth. Its easy to say I am willing to work hard, can learn fast, good with people and other similar crap but this is not enough to propel to the top. The banking / investment world is like Hollywood, everyone knows of the few famous stars who make it big, but forget the remaining 98% who are languishing with crap jobs & pay waiting for the big break that never comes.

Don't waste your breath. This "poor and stupid" guy is just the latest reincarnation of "miwashi" who used to spam the boards with similar garbage. In his previous ID, he claim he was some grass cutter planner in NEA and basically went about posting similarly self-depreciating shiit about NEA. The moment "miwashi" disappeared few months ago this "poor and stupid" pops out and say he's an engineer, but otherwise spewing exactly the same sort of negative shiit.

Hi guys
I am the TS, in office now so didnt log in.
I am offered one rank higher than the one I applied but still same job title. I applied for the level 1 and I got level 2. Just below the team manager.
What do you guys think?

I don't get you. You're in office now and you received an offer?
What offer? Apple or the MNC accounts role?
Like the others said if you're so set on being a Apple telephone operator then go ahead. Level 1 or 2 doesn't matter because the job is essentially a dead end road.
