Yea same.. from this thread, there might be some technical error that makes it shortlisted instead of unsuccessful. But, I don't wish to be negative so let's just hope for the best!

Well, shouldn't keep any hopes high actually. Since so many weeks has passed, time to move on!

And at the same time, they are known to take a few months before contacting a person for interview and what not. So, keep your options open I guess

I emailed them a week ago with regards to my application and was told that they are still in the midst of recruitment process. They also said that they will contact me within the next couple of weeks if I'm shortlisted. I got the same shortlisted status as well but its totally not reliable.

If it's not a technical error we are probably on the fence group of ppl. So if someone turns down or fails interview then either of us might be next in line.

Yes, civil service usually does take some time with recruitment but this has been the longest I have waited since receiving a shortlisted status lol.

Dk what to expect cos if they want to reject should have done it quite awhile back, never waited this long to get rejected tho lmao. The last time i was offered in poly, they called me for interview within 3 wks

I'm mid career? graduated in 2015, I've applied to SPF, ICA, MOE, they got back to me pretty fast back then.

Does cpib require fitness test?

HAHA I’d be doomed if it does. I don’t think so because even spf doesn’t require one. But it does say there is firearms training.

No fitness test for all roles.

But for CPIO and CPIA positions, you need to be at least PES B1 to qualify.

Anyone received an email yet? I applied on 6th May, got shortlisted 3 weeks ago. I emailed their HR ytd and this was their reply:

"Dear xxx,

I refer to your email enquiry today.

Thank you for your interest in a career with CPIB. We have received your application at the Careers@Gov Job Portal.

We are still in the midst of the recruitment process and we will update you in a couple of weeks if you have been shortlisted for the post.

Thank you."

I got that email right after applying, like back in May. Maybe this intake has been delayed? This is very unusual.

Hahaha I don't think it means anything much! But don't lose hope because I was expecting a mass rejection from previous threads. So if your status is still shortlisted, there's hope! anws I just graduated last yr. Worked in audit (intern and full time) for about 18 months alr... and I recently accepted another job offer because I thought gov was alr gonna reject me.
