and which round are you referring to?

Unregistered 04-01-2013 04:35 PM

I refer to the current opening that is closing in Feb-13.

My status just changed from 'submitted' to 'in process' recently.

So i'm just curious if any applicants here got any wind of anything.

Unregistered 06-01-2013 02:54 PM

My status has also been changed to in process but no news yet. Has anyone received any notification for an interview yet?

me too, where did you graduate? or when?

My in progress ones are with Ministry of Social Development, a small and insignificant ministry handling stuff like gambling addicts..

Unregistered 09-01-2013 02:07 PM

i work in similar HR before, in-progress means that u are the leftovers..either 0 or 1 will barely make it in..

Thats a huge IF there because you're still competing against law/accountancy grads who are fresh from their uni exams/textbook case studies and competing for the same job. And besides these firms usually have their own internal training program once you get in.

Cpib might be potentially good outside, but don't count on it because successful cases are really few and far inbetween. I dont know abt mgt roles in cpib, all I know is that they're an unusual semi-uniform/enforcement agency that doesnt use the typical police/army rank structure but adopts the government executive, senior exec, manager(team manager), dy director rank structure.

Compliance/audit will go for auditors/lawyers, not CPIB people. Sorry to pour cold water.
I think the only relevance will be Pte Investigators.

haiz1234 19-01-2013 05:10 PM

Huh

You gotta be kidding me. If civil servants have no work life balance, then they do not deserve the title farmers!

haiz1234 26-01-2013 09:04 PM

Not all civil servants are farmers... Like wise not all org has work life balance
