I applied last yr and got called for the tea session, but withdrew my application due to personal reasons.

Applied again this year and got called for the tea session on 13th Feb! Major-ed in psychology, private deg, graduated last yr, status on careers@gov as "in process".

All the best to everyone!

Unregistered 14-02-2017 02:32 PM

Sian. So many people received call. I think my chances gone with the wind.

Unregistered 14-02-2017 02:33 PM

Chances getting slim...

Unregistered 14-02-2017 02:38 PM

Seems like CPIB more for junior executives with less than 3 years of experience.

saiyan2005 14-02-2017 04:44 PM

Haizz no call today man. Will se tml, thur and fri.

Unregistered 14-02-2017 04:52 PM

Haiz.....same

Unregistered 14-02-2017 05:56 PM

i applied last year but did not received any call and status was changed to unsuccessful after quite a while under "in process".

this year again, i applied and is now under "in process".

seeing some of the people here who received the call up for tea session, would like to congrats to them.

i guessed the chances are very very slim now and strongly believed that CPIB has age discrimination to applicants even with 4 to 6 years of experiences. I think its hard to do any mid-career change.

good luck to all!

Around 4 to 6 weeks the "in process" will changed to "unsuccessful".
Given to last year experience, i believed those commented here that they received call, most likely after pass 1 week, those not receiving any call can considered unsuccessful.

I guessed im game over now :)

Personally i think your are quite right on the timeline. The most is wait for a few more days and thats it.

They called you on the same day to go for interview on 13th Feb?

Unregistered 14-02-2017 08:10 PM

NTU engineering grad here, with fully completed ACCA qualification and about 5 years in a leadership role in private sector, no reply as well.

Unregistered 14-02-2017 09:06 PM

Guess is a "GG" for me. Can apply for others Liao. Lols!

Unregistered 15-02-2017 09:11 AM

Hey guys who got called, would like to know if they called in the morning or afternoon and also what were the first few digits of the phone number! Thanks!

Unregistered 15-02-2017 11:33 AM

Last day of call....

Unregistered 15-02-2017 12:08 PM

Wondering if they reject anyone at first instance or they will just reject at one shot for the remaining "in process" Lot.....

saiyan2005 15-02-2017 12:13 PM

I just emailed the person. They say still processing the application. So probably if this week no call or anything. Most likely rejected

Unregistered 15-02-2017 12:15 PM

Just curious.. is the only job available for this recruitment be limited to CPIO? Or are they recruiting for other functions as well during the tea session?

Unregistered 15-02-2017 12:27 PM

well, my status has changed to "unsuccessful" today.

Unregistered 15-02-2017 12:36 PM

Oh.Mine rejected also lor

saiyan2005 15-02-2017 12:43 PM

Same for me. Unsuccessful

Unregistered 15-02-2017 12:47 PM

what are the subsequent interviews after the tea session like?

Unregistered 15-02-2017 12:47 PM

Sad mines also rejected

Unregistered 15-02-2017 01:00 PM

at least the HR is clearly doing their job

status changed to 'Shortlisted', for tea session presumably. Will try to share more for those who are curious about the event

Unregistered 15-02-2017 01:06 PM

Thanks bro/sis! For those who received call, could we have an idea of what course of study did you guys complete? I'm from engineering and I have a feeling they are not looking for engineers in this role

saiyan2005 15-02-2017 01:07 PM

Haiz not sure of their hiring process. Maybe they just need someone with less than 3 yrs experience

Unregistered 15-02-2017 01:20 PM

agreed with you that they may just be looking at fresh grad or someone with less than 2 to 3 years experience. it is not uncommon for stat board to have age discrimination for roles that are above admin/asst. title.

well, least i know i got rejected. i can forget about applying public sector in future.

good luck to all! :)

Unregistered 15-02-2017 01:24 PM

In my opinion, I think those with status updated to Insuccessful on the spot are those that did not fulfil the criteria listed on the application page. For the rest of us who are still having here status of In Process, likely is those that met the criteria on the surface but didn't meet the hidden criteria as mentioned earlier.

U can still apply civil services for other roles i think. Cos others like accounting they need experience. Maybe for this post they just need someone young. I rather they state it in their job requirements.

But hw they noe our character based on resume alone. They have to meet us in person before knowing if we are motivated and able to meet tight deadlines etc
