I knw cuz my peers are drawing this range & im also been in charge for new hires frm analysts to vps

Even for some old dogs avps & vps are drawing 6-7k & 8-10k respectively

Not too sure for front office thou

Anyone difference? I believe dl programs service providers will mention that the degree conferred will be exactly the same as on campus.

For DL courses, generally people with enough money pay to course they want to study. There will be difference in some people's eyes which can be offset easily if you can show that you have the skills at the end of the day.

I agree with some aspects of the response above, in that once you get an equivalent job, advancement will largely hinge on on job performance.

But lets not kid ourselves, when employers look at what school a candidate is from, they are thinking about more than just what the person had studied. They are looking for a track record of success and more importantly, the stamp of "quality" provided by the pre-vetting from a very selective institution. Whether this quality is real or only perceived, that's a discussion for a different day.

So end of the day, its highly improbable to get a first job in a highly competitive sector if you did a DL degree. Now, it may be possible if you first get into a highly competitive industry via a small and peripheral fish in the industry, establish your credibility and reputation, then move on to a big house.

But direct ? Very very difficult.

Analyst

Hi, how many years of bank experiences required before one can join DBS as Analyst without a degree? Must be relevant banking experiences?

Those who work in DBS or used to work in DBS, please share. Thanks.

Associate in DBS

Guys, May i know what is the curent salary range for associate position?

Unregistered 06-10-2016 02:33 AM

DBS Rank

As far I concerned, Dbs Rank would be:
1. Bank executive
2. Analyst
3. Associate
4. Senior associate--- 5 years exp--- 6,5-8K
5. Assistant Vice President--7 years exp--- 7-10K
6. Vice President
7. Senior Vice President
8. Executive Director
9. Managing Director

That's as far I know..

These are titles, not rank. An Associate in IBFO is much higher ranked & paid compared to a VP in customer service.

Nope. Those are ranks. There is a range for each rank, so it is possible for some to earn more than others. But these are ranks and not titles

Nope, DBS rank is a number iirc. Check with your HR if you are interested, but I suspect for local banks they are not that transparent.

Nope, very sure those are rank. DBS does not use a number system

Believe what you want but people who work there will know since the contract actually indicates your rank and title

Unregistered 12-10-2016 04:35 PM

1) Can I know the pay range for analyst? Got 4.5k?
2) How many years to associate?
3) How many years to Senior associate from associate?

Contract's rank is not the real, it is just a broad band. Real rank is a number. Ask your HR.

lol and when I ask HR, you will say HR is lying to you. Either way you win since basically no one can validate what you are saying.

There are people from operations who have move to IB that held consistent rank between move. Please stop spreading misinformation

Unregistered 02-08-2017 11:16 AM

This should be the normal range I heard for SRM - Analyst Rank.

If SRM Associate Rank should be about 3.8k..

Allowance is $300, so if you are offer basic 3.5k, monthly you draw 3.8k gross (estimate).

Anyone know what's the range of base salary in T&O for each rank/title? I'm assuming bonus isn't really good for BO.

Unregistered 08-08-2017 08:27 PM

anyone knows what's the bonus like for T&O group?

Unregistered 27-09-2018 05:29 AM

Contract 2.5
Analyst 3.2
Associate 4.2

Bonus: 3-3.5 months for myself

Took 6 months to convert from contract. Took 3 years to promote to associate. Many say 3 years for non graduate associate is fast.

Source: I was there before

Unregistered 27-09-2018 02:16 PM

Ideally, how much can one climb in the corporate ladder for a non graduate associate then?

zero_88 02-10-2018 02:12 PM

if I am android developer

can I try to join the bank?

rapdec87 02-10-2018 06:09 PM

Heard DBS do not consider giving performance bonus in terms of months but gives an absolute amount (ie. 15k), depending on the department and individual performance. And also no 13th month (like most pte sector companies)

Anybody can shed more light on how exactly they decide on PB?

Also, hope someone can shed light on average increment year-on-year? I know it depends on department (FO or BO) and individual performance, but just want to get a sense of it.

The fixed quantum is specified in your contract and your annual bonus is a product of that and multipliers from business/indivl performance etc.

No 13th month is quite standard in pte sector.

On average, how long does it take to be converted to permanent staff for direct temp/contract?

2 to 3 years. From.what I am know, They will find all sorts of excuses not to delay headcount and will only consider promotion if you threaten to leave. Even so, thats not guranteed.

I see, but outside resignation, is there any other variables that may increase chance of conversion say degree type or backgrounds or whatnot?
