True enough. Have several friends who were unable to find a job for 1 year or more after leaving with this company in their resume. They work until cannot tahan so quit even without a next job lined up. The brand name just do not have good reputation within the tech industry.

talk is easy, when you are not the one being assigned an insane amount of work, rushing you incessantly (texting u day and night) till you get mentally burned out.
there is some truth in working on goals or skills during your free time to get to where u want. those who are married with kids and in roles that require frequent OT and weekend burns, overnight work, may find it difficult to work on or even plan for such activities on a regular basis.
There are some skills that are not transferrable. for example, lengthy process to get approval and chase for approval.

Reputation matters. When I was working in manufacturing, we have colleagues from across the industry and we know which companies were really good and which were just awfully bad. Singapore is a small place and it is not difficult, in the course of your career, through interactions with colleagues, bosses, subordinates, vendors, customers, interviews and online forums and websites, formulate your opinions of the good and poor companies in the industry
like wise, if you have worked for top paying companies, it is almost like a career and personal endorsement. Other big names companies will come looking for u.
