Mid tier audit firm

I'm offered $2050 as my starting pay as an account assistant in a mid tier audit firm. Am I underpaid? I'm a final year student in sim currently waiting for my final results in aug.

I would just wait for the degree and ask for pay raise or go for another job. Deg fresh grads are now averaging 3.5k.

It's more like 2.5k for fresh NTU and NUS grads, overall (i.e. inclusive of good faculties and bad ones; it's better not to be too specific here in case people get offended).

I know making sweeping statements is easy because it doesn't require you to appraise/criticise yourself, but...

How can the average be $3500 when i see/hear way more fresh grads getting $2.2-2.6k, and hardly anyone getting $4.8k? (Which averages at $3.5k).

I believe $2.5k - $2.7k is the median range.

and somehow your "fresh grads getting $2.2-2.6k" claim is not sweeping statement???

way to go...

If you are refering to mid-tier audit firms, YES the pay is around $2.2-$2.5K for fresh grads.

Fresh grads with zero experience do not get anything more than that!

Big 4 pays $2.6K and above. No fresh grad gets 3.5K even in big 4s.

TS which mid tier is that? Kinda low.

what's this obsession over big4?

they are poor paymasters who are abusing fresh grads because many have misconception that 2 years in big4 is compulsory to further your career in finance. nothing is further away from the truth.

3.5k a bit too high lah, but generally in this day & age deg grads should not accept any offer <3k.

Internal audit is just a back office compliance admin job, it is not the same as external financial audtiting
