IT Regional Manager (APAC)

Hi, I have been considering a job as IT Regional Manager (APAC) offering 6K. What is the salary range like for a similar position in Research in Motion (RIM)?

Nobody can tell the salary range from just a business title, but better think twice. RIM is incurring heavy losses and from what I heard implementing quite drastic cost cutting measures.

Anyway if they offer you only 6k it is likely just an analyst role with fancy title, most real regional level managers are >10k anyway.

Regional role - I would not consider if it is under 8.5K.

8.5k is very low already, unless RIM can pay >5 mth bonus (doubtful) I won't accept at this rate.

First time I hear regional manager role at 6k, it is low even for a local manager...

I've seen SMEs calling their managers regional too - each manager in charge of a "region" in Singapore, e.g. east, west, north, central. :D

Another example: our "mayors" can actually be called "regional directors" (what do they do anyway?). Only major difference is perhaps they are probably paid much more than real world regional directors who really have to travel around the region. :D

Yes I think it should be above 8k.
8.5k is considered low?

Banking industry ? If not, I think 9K - 9.7K thereaboutshould fit well. Of course, you still want to be considered for this job rite?
