Don't worry too much. It's normal to have a short time gap before moving to a new job.

Was there any salary progression for the 4 years at the SB?

I see. Yup then it is indeed time to switch to somewhere else. At least you were employed and have gained experience! These would definitely help you somehow. All the best

You are insourced or project based staff? Usually such headcount difficult to convert to perm.

as the job search drag on longer, think is just shooting down the morale day by day.

think the only few things that are keeping me sane is perhaps joining my kid's school parent sppt grp to do some PV stuff.

not tt i join cos wan to secure a place for my kid's enrolment in primary school since number 2 next time can join number 1 in same sch with the ever-changing enrolment policy for Primary School

just want to have some better understanding of how my child's schooling life is like especially she goes in P1 at that time when Covid was at its notorious peak.

started out with them as temp in Sept 2018
then they take over my employment as my direct employer since Jan 2019

whilst my side has hired a good number of associates/senior associates,
think i only see 1 guy being converted to perm staff.
largely the outgoing numbers outnumber the incoming ones.

That sounds quite scary. Is this how the hiring practice is like for most ministries and stat boards these days?
