Not OP. But may I know if we try to negotiate the HR will be likely to reconsider? Because I just got a pay adjustment at my current company so wondering if they would adjust slightly upwards..

Hello, I received an email post interview asking for my religion, pay range expected and current salary. Is this a good sign and roughly how long should I wait to hear from them?
Do civil service jobs send rejection emails?

Accept other offers - no. However, good to inform the ministry/SB you are more keen in if you received other offers. It may help speed up the process slightly if you are an exceptional candidate. If not, they will just move on to the next better candidate.
A bit of patience is necessary.

Thanks for your advice! My patience has paid off and I am being offered already!

I have emailed and checked with them again this week and they replied that they are expecting the outcome to be ready in 2 weeks’ time as usually it will take about 3 weeks of the administration and approvals to be finalised.
May i know does it mean I’m selected for the position and just have to wait after the approval for the official written offer?
TIA!

Does anyone knows whether my current employer will still pay my salary at the same date until my official transfer to the new stat board? My colleague had resigned previously and served 1 m9nth notice and her last salary was give 2 weeks after her final day which is a big stretch for my current financial situation. Anyone who has experiencr with movement policy?
Greatly appreciate your advice!

I've been through movement policy before and their process is basically the same as u quit a job and start all over anew. The only thing they will retain is years of service and your employment scheme, and your PB will be paid over only after confirmation kn the new job side.FYI, years of service don't move over if going from stat board to ministry. If you are having trouble financially, be careful of financial embarrassment. Declaration is needed, if u don't...more trouble and your pb will get withheld as you will be under disciplinary action.
Speaking from someone who went through this pain. Good luck.

You should be paid as per your normal until your last date, the same as you would get paid as per resigning. You start there, you get paid there. I.e ,if your end date in middle of month, then you will get paid in middle of month (or if over payroll date then hr will advise accordingly.)
This one, u can check with hr for exact details.
