What does it mean if being invited to a meeting with director after having completed interview and checks had been done? Does it mean i have chance?

mine requires cat 1 clearance.... that’s probably why it took so long

In my SB, there is this job preview thingy after clearance where they invite a few selected candidates down to see the dept and get a feel of the role but not all of them are recruited. I think it’s to see how well the person fit or what idk.

For those who waited, how often should you all email HR for updates on the process to not bother them too much and yet still show interest for the role?

Not too sure is mine a job preview as i was told i am being invited down to a meeting with the director. I initially thought it is a second interview but HR told me it is not an interview but a meeting.
