Same here, accepted job offer at MHA. Total wait time from first interview to contract signing is 6 months too. You can take that as a norm.

Appointment / contract signing was suppose to be end Nov but I nego with hr to bring it forward cause its gonna be another wait after that.

It really depends they process ur clearance after ur interview or before ur interview.
For mine it's before. That's why I am lucky with a 3 month wait only.
Because my colleague waited 8 months for his cat 1 to start work.

Hi, able to share the events during this period of time? For example, when was the first/second interview, verbal offer, medical and etc?

MHA as in the ministry or one of the SB? Mind sharing the events during this 6 months as well? I applied for a SB under MHA.

Awaiting the dreadful clearance. I am shocked to see people waiting 2-3 months just for clearance. Was told abit lesser than that so just wanna verify the current situation.

How long did the HR told you it will take?

The HR told you they did clearance for you before your interview? The HR in charge of me did not tell me when they applied the clearance for me though I assumed it’s after the second interview. Or should I start counting from the day I submitted all the necessary forms for screening (before interview)?

Start counting the day from when you submitted your G50
Cause the data for Cat 1 comes from G50 too. You need clear that for hr to process Cat 1.

Mx scheme under MHA (blue color uniform one - quite obvious ya)
I can't remember the exact date so I'm putting in as range instead

End June / early July 1st week - submit data, resume all those on career@gov
1st week of Aug - contact for interview (selection interview). This is the point where the hr asked for all my documents. Including those for clearance. Like 11 diff document to give and do.
1st week of Aug - 2 days from contact - my selection interview
Waiting from this point onward for further news. Chased hr for 2nd interview...news etc... But hr no news to reply me
3rd week of Oct - hr contacted me stating that I won't be having a 2nd interview and I'm pending management approval for the job offer (which means I am accepted la - lucky no 2nd interview)
4th week of Oct - hr give me offer letter. Within 2 days need reply to accept. Then pass over to vital
1st week of Nov - vital contacted me - appointment formalities is to be at 4th week of Nov but I went to nego to be way faster... Call and etc. Give reason. Finally they give in.

Now pending appointments formalities 6 Nov.
Estimated working date by the department is 4th week of Dec after Christmas.

I read the documents given is got medical. But nobody tell me anything about a medical.
So I will update if got medical anot.

did u need to go through VITAL?
