I just got an emplacement offer, around 14% salary increment as 11A. Was on contract for 2years, and got recontacted till end 2026 in Jan this year. The emplacement offer just came in, anyone can share what I should be looking out for?

Assuming the benefits etc for the contract role are no different from permanent staff (Increment in Apr, leave, flexible benefits, medical etc), the 14% increment is decent. Else, look out for bonuses payout (if it is a lump sum at the end of contract), increment and weigh the pros and cons if the salary is fixed for the entire duration of the 2 years.

No differences, just continue doing same job but redesignated to SAD. My DD says probably no downside as far as she knows, the difference is just that not on contract anymore.

Completed a panel interview with a ministry on Monday, I assume that if successful, the next step should be a referral check? May I know how long that takes?

1. Referral - depending on your referee’s reply. (abt a week)
2. PPF (G50) security clearance - approx 3 months (based on my recent exp)
3. HR will make provisional offer aft G50 is cleared - 3 days to reply decision
4. Mgt approval + LOA by Vital - 3 weeks
Hope e info helps u a lot!
