Life lessons
Not all temp jobs pay the same rate.
Normally, the higher rate means greater demands.
Some temp jobs are targeted at the non-degree holders.

I was told by the recruiter that the hr sets this rate for all temp staff.
So I think the hr just anyhow anyhow whack w/o comprehending the JD, let alone discuss the appropriate rate with the hiring dept.
Despite the disparity, I think the role is for uni fresh grads. Based on personal exp working as a temp in stat boards in the past, and looking at current job adverts by them, diploma holders are even worst off (below $10/hr).
Hence, I conclude $13/hr as a uni grad whereas other stat boards are paying $17.50/hr is just the hr being grossly incompetent and poverty mindset. Now I'm convinced that the starboard tier + visibility plays a big role in remuneration.

That's true. I'm quite blessed in that my recruiter told me if I don't feel comfortable w the rate, maybe I shld reconsider the position. Unlike scumbag recruiters from recruit express pushing pple to take up the unfavourable offer.

Sounds a bit long, i'm guessing cos you wanna keep your PB. Best to check with new agency's HR if they can wait that long.

Hi, would you mind sharing why you decided to join as a new hire rather than the movement policy?
