I am currently a public servant. Recently went for interview with a ministry and they have since requested for g50 and my consent for them to do HR reference check.

Is that a good sign? what would they check with my HR on? Haha. Just curious.

Nope, most do not expect to fail. If they did, they would not have tried to apply.
