HR want to contact referrals but I don't have referrals and leave previous workplaces because of toxic environment. Now I have to crawl back on my knees and beg my ex-manager that I left on bad terms with that I haven't contacted for in years who most likely won't even give me a positive review to be my referral?

Bro, just ask your friends to help la??? then tell your friend that he is xxx but he also left the company. This is his personal email.
Referee is a low effort attempt to audit la.

Understand that HR will notify you are shortlisted or unsuccessful within 4 weeks of the closing job posting. Wondering how strict/accurate is the 4 weeks deadline.
Today is the end of the 4th week. I have the relevant experience and skillsets but I have yet to receive any interview calls from HR
The wait is nerve-wrecking…

Since HR sieved the applicants, should I email/skype the director directly to enquire on the interview and at the same time take the opportunity to share my cv? Anyway thick skin abit I wont lose out on anything also right?

no one-size fits all kind of answer
differs from SB to SB or even Ministry to Ministry

I have a friend who messaged the director after 1-2months of ghosting by HR after an interview. HR followed up immediately the day after.
This is a private sector though.
