I got a ex colleague who waited 5-6months before he gotten his LOA.
Now his life is really relaxing after joining government sector.
Come in late and leave early when there is no works.

financial embarrassment is mainly concern if the applicant/public servant has outstanding financial debts lor (think it has a strict bar/level allowed?)

if govt staff tio FE, can be grounds for dismissal from service if u google around
