Another min =/= less stressed. Like above said, it depends on job scope. The hiring manager may also sound out during the interview saying that it's not a bed of roses and you will need to be mentally prepared if it's tough too. If not, you can try to sound out your concerns during the interview.

I'm 110% sure where I'm planning to move to will be less stressful because I'm currently in the foreign service. Specified "ministry" because I was wondering if the HRs across ministries contact each other to ask about candidates who apply haha.

Maybe you let the new Min know to inform you after the interview if they are going to do ref check? Since if they still want to do ref check after the interview, it probably means that you have a high chance of being hired by them.

So if they say they want to do ref check after all the interviews are completed, you can sound out your supervisor to give them a heads-up~

Hi does anyone knows how long does HSA usually get back after interview? Went for interview 1 month plus ago and HR tells me they are still doing internal clearance so there isnt any updates yet.. is it no hope already
