Civil Svc/ Statboard - Typical Timeline for making a Hiring Decision

Hi there, I had my second round of interview around 2 weeks ago and had been waiting for an update since then. Career portal has indicated my status as “shortlisted” since the time when I got called for my first interview and till date, there has been no change. Saw that the job post is still available on career gov.

Will anyone be able to provide some advice pertaining to this? Thank you!

Hang in there and keep your fingers and toes crossed its likely that they are still interviewing 2nd round candidates.

did HR say when they will get back to you by? I think it’s fine to check in! It’s been a month since my 2nd interview & I checked in at the 2 week mark as they said they will get back to me within 2 weeks. for my case HR said they are still reviewing

Is it possible to turn a contract role in CS to a permanent one? Say you performed well in the contract role...

Did your role mentioned that it will be a 2 years contract or appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.

For appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance, converting to perm is possible if head count is available and your boss push for you.

what if it just mention it's a 2 years contract role, no the first instance, is there chance of conversion to perm then?

anyone applied to MOM before? How long do they take to reply after the 1st interview?
