Depends on job. If you lead a small team of 2-4 administrators should be 3.5-4k. For those leading bigger departments like shared service can sometimes hit 6k.

Admin manager job scope typically includes contract administration (tenders, quotations, all procurement etc). I think the size of UniSIM will segregate the role of Human Resource and Admin, so shared services should be out of the job scope.
For the academic side of things, admin manager may be involved in the collation of curriculum, exams, student affairs etc. This is my best guess. But I think in an education institution, the "Admin" Manager should be anything but slack, because education is all about administration.
Hope this helps.

As a school adminstrator of a heartland secondary school, I can confirm administration work is quite slack one lah, e.g can leave work before 5.30, got long tea break, somemore during school holiday nothing much to do, just play iphone games loh

The AM job in MOE schools is obviously an inflated title.
It roughly translates to the role of an Operations/Admin/Accounts Executive in other companies.
Even those retired ahpek Army RSMs/police officers that they recruit as 'Operations Managers' as also called managers lor. In practice they're merely assistants to the discipline master/mistress.
