try lor... but note that many are keyboard warriors.
its not impossible to command high pay for a sim degree but ask yourself if you will be 1 of the very few who have such luck to meet lazy hr who offer so high pay?
must set your expectations correct.. the average starting pay for nus/ ntu/ smu is around 3k
if you manage to get 3k for sim degree with no experience, i would say you struck jackpot.

don't forget the SMEs
a lot of graduates forget the SMEs and keep applying to MNCs who are already saturated by well-qualified applicants. I've started work at a medium sized commodities trading firm (physical trade) as a finance executive and starting pay is decent - above 3k.
more importantly, you get to be involved in important deals and transactions as compared to being one of the many employees in a MNC. i think i have learnt more about business in the past 5 months i have been working as compared to the 3 years doing my RMIT BMgt degree.

That may be possible if one flies to UK and study in UOL, but certainly not via SIM.

Most of those from SIM working at my company are getting slightly higher than diploma pay only. A private degree is not the real thing.

Also, i think i have to say, don't be afraid to say no, and don't make it obvious you are desperate.
I met my ex-colleague for drinks last week, after he got drunk he told me how he was commended by the Management for helping them save cost. How? They gave him a budget to hire 3 staff at $3000/month/each, he hired 3 young & naive girls, $2000/month and no overtime.
Most of the time, when you're already far along enough into the interview that you know they like you, they won't begrudge giving an additional $200-400 per month. That's like $4k more per year? If the MD just skips 1 KTV at Lido Palace per year, will more than cover your extra cost.
