Confused.. About Terminologies..Can Help?
Hi,
I get confused with so many words that mean almost the same to me. How are they calculated?
1) Salary
2) Income
3) When ppl ask, How much you earn?
4) Takehome income
5) Takehome salary
6) Pay
7) Gross salary
8) Net salary
Can someone just roughly tell me the differences?
I see lot of ppl saying, " I earn 57k a year" etc. What does that "earn" mean?
Example:
1- My Take home salary - the one that is credited to my bank account every month = 2400 SGD
2- My CPF contribution = 600 SGD (this is credited to CPF accounts)
3- Company's CPF contribution = 480 SGD
Can someone extrapolate from here/give their own example to tell me how to calculate those above terms. Thanks.
