University enquiries regarding pursuing infosec in the future
Hi to all fellow professionals here in infosec / IT industry,
Given a choice, would it be a better choice to take SIM - University of Wollogong(UOW) - Bachelor in Digital Systems Security or take the conventional path of NUS / NTU / SMU which majors in IT generally.
I would like to pursue the path as an IT auditor or infosec consultant.
I'm extremely tempted in taking the path of the SIM - (UOW) Digital System Security degree as it allows 1.5 years exemptions whereas the local uni's ( NUS / NTU / SMU) does not offer any exemption at all.
Could any professionals offer some advise? I'm UOW is rather recognized in the private sector as I have seen previously people from SIM - (UOW) Digital System Security in Big Four audit and consulting firms.
