301
in terms of career progression, you can expect to see many changes occurring in the telco industry over the next few years. IDA has a road map which spells the specific changes that are expected to occur. But if you look at the marketing department, beyond newspaper advertising and subscriber packaging, there aren't much challenges to expect.

If you don't know much about marketing or telco industry, don't need to act like an old bird. How can there not be challenges with 2 other big telco competing for such a small market and also the prepaid card market is another challenge they are facing. Typical people who just think marketing is only about advertising and giving discount.

I would say if you don't know much about M1, don't act like an old bird. While marketing in general is more than just advertising and pricing, it is pretty much all there is when it comes to M1.
The 2 biggest shareholders in M1 have made it very clear what they want - defend the market share as long as they can and squeeze as much cashflow as they can from the business. M1 has a very accounting approach to the business and this is reflected in the CEO / top executives all the way down to bottom.
Everything is about expense control, cashflow control, risk adverse, no acquisitions, no fancy stuff, make everything cheaper than the other 2 telcos while providing decent service. Draw side of this is of course there really isn't much exciting happening in the business compared to its competitors.
The only major thing on the marketing / products side for the last 3 years is when they tried to hitch on the IPTV wagon which quickly flopped and subsequently end up now in limbo state.
