Thus, can any kind soul advise me how long shd i work in my current job before i start applying to the stat board or prob other pte sector positions which i have in mind without looking too bad? thanks

Just to digress a little, is this your first job after you grad? If so, are you on a contract or a perm staff? I understand fresh grads are only offered 1 yr contracts first before renewal/conversion to perm staff.

Hi, anyone has any successful example of public service officer who worked less than a year and joined another govt agency? What are the acceptable reasons for a current ps officer to join another govt agency? Thanks!

I was with 3 stat boards previously and now in the pte sector. my first hop was $400 increment (stayed with 1st stat board for 3 yrs)... my 2nd hop was $200 (stayed with 2nd stat board for just 4 months) and my final hop to pte sector was $600... (just 6 mths in my 3rd stat board)...

I would like to ask recently I just sign a letter of appointment with a stat board and will be starting work in may.
Now, I have a better offer from another stat board and 1 more ministry, can I know will it be possible to sign with the latter one and "break" the letter of appointment that I have signed with the 1st stat board? (without penalty etc)
Please advise.
