I saw an online comment at glassdoor website that the HR from HDB might not even email or call you to inform you that you are not being offered a job (I thought that is the basic HR job to inform?) even if you email them to ask. Is it true?

So i applied for a job position in HDB around 2 months ago. I received a call, 1 week after the job positiion closing date (I assume HR only process after the closing date and make decision for interview).
So I went for the interview in that end of week, the 3 interviewers are quite friendly and I thought I answered them quite well.
And so, now I am waiting for a reply from HDB HR. My interview has only been 2 working days ago. Judging from some comments above, the result for the interview might take up 1-4 weeks, am I right?
Just a comment, their HR dont seems to like to reply inquiry through email.

My experience quite similar as yours, my interview last week. Asked HR, they say results will come in one to two weeks time. So have you gotten any reply till now?

Speaking from experience, it is quite simple to find out if you are the first few choices especially for public service. If your interview is scheduled one week after position closes and are on the first few days of the interview, and your time slot is early in the morning, it means you are most likely going to be offered the job first if you do not mess up your interview. Also, after the interview, if you email and ask the HR, they will give you an estimated timeline of when you will get a reply. If they say 1 - 2 weeks, it means you are the first few choices. If they say 3 - 4 weeks, you are the backup plan, in case those they want do not take up the offer.
I applied for the Estate Manager position during December last year and was placed on the late afternoon timeslot which was around 4pm. After the interview, I emailed the HR and she told me to wait 3 - 4 weeks. I got the rejection after 1 month.
Anyway, times are bad. The only thing is to keep applying and not give up. This is very important. Must persevere!
