Are you sure this job you applied for is a real specialist job in the first place? Nowadays every donkey and his cart is known as a specialist, job titles mean nothing.

No offence, but looking at the fact they are willing to offer the job to a 3k generalist without any prior experience in talent work implies strongly that this is just hr ops with a fancy title. You are right that 3.5k is too low for a talent specialist job, but chances are yours is just a generic recruiting coordination.

Next time be more careful and inquisitive when you go for interview, don't just assume is mnc and has the word specialist means good pay. Also be realistic in your expectations, you are from hr should have enough sense to know how ridiculous it is to expect to be given a strategic job with just 4 yrs of admin type experience.

whao jerk. did i offend u or what?

u sound like a arrogant twit talking down to others. just because i was doing generalist for 4 years u try & look down on others. i got the job because i was able to perform very well during the interview in spite of the headhunter telling me there are 5 more qualified candidates for the job. u dont even know the co or what went on & try to anyhow speculate. dont bother to reply cauz i am not interested in keyboard warrior like u.

to others: any1 has and advise weather i should try & ask for min 4k?

Honestly this is a public forum and if you are only looking for positive feedback youre at the wrong place.
Ive gotta agree with the earlier poster - if the company really thinks youre that good, they would have offered you more.

i am ok with constructive advise, just cant stand certain people in this forum just making critcisim for nothing and never answer the question in the end. u obviously dunno much about salary negotiation, sometime co. will lowball candidates low in order to cut cost. so far the feedback from the headhunter & the interviewers themselves are very good, thats why i ask hr experts here whether i can play hardball & insist 5k or lower compromise for 4k.

I've never been lowball-ed before. Wouldn't want to work for a company which thinks it is fine to lowball their future employees. It reflects a lot about their character and their values. Lowballing future employees just shows their lack of respect for your skills and your time. I'll just walk away and wouldn't even bother negotiating. If you are as good as your claim to be, you wouldn't have problems finding companies which would treat you with more decency.

he/she was not lowball. co offer 14% increase from last job, but he/she want a 70% increase from 3 to 5k. nuts.
