Seeing as to how most MNCs recruitment cycles for HR MAP are over, this route is a bit out of reach.

Any opinions?

Cheers,

Imo mncs would provide a better learning experience even if it is not a MAP. I always encourage people to start out at mncs, can always switch to glcs later.

Capitaland maybe... I would rank them somewhat equivalent to a smaller non-S&P 500 mnc type of program. Singtel no way, all they do is just slap a manager title on you after you complete the job rotations. Not much in terms of development opportunities, overseas exposure or pay progression. Culture also too old school with middle & senior mgt dominated by old timers.

If you can get into a big household mnc through normal recruitment, it will still be better than what those so call GLC MAP program can offer. Especially for HR which tbh most local companies treat them more like administrators and their so call specialist are of doubtful quality as they are mostly limited to only local ops exposure.

My 2c.

What are the industrial certifications for HR professionals in Singapore? I know for the US there are HRCI certifications (PHR,SPHR,GPHR) and so on.

What would be the standard for Singapore? Is it the cipd-mom wsq tieup?

For a soft skill department like HR it is the pedigree that counts - what is your experience and which company you work for that is most important. A HRBP in P&G beats a HR Director with many certs in a local company hands down.

Don't think anyone is discounting what you mentioned, though that doesn't answer the question.
