calculate your annual package
multiply that number by 1.15 to 1.20...let's call this number $X
find out the avg bonus payouts (aws, variable etc) in the new company...pray that their HR tells u the truth....let's call this number (Y months)
ur expected basic shld roughly be $X divided by (12+Y) months
things get tricky if ur current coy has high bonus payouts compared to the new coy....their HR may try to lowball u so that u dun get a very good deal |
