For Teaching Scholarship (Local), I recall it was also 10%. Studied in one of the local autonomous universities only, but if I had broken my bond back then, it would have done unspeakable things to my family's finances.
Still in service, and well past my bond now.. but every year feeling more and more shortchanged.

I'm sure that at least for a scholar, the opportunities and progression for you would've been much better than an average non-scholar. You're already better off than many.

Are we allowed to apply for NPL within 3 years of transfer to a new school?

Just a note - if I remember correctly, NPL >6m means being removed from current posting (to be posted back by HR). Might not necessarily be a bad thing if you're currently rethinking things, though.

Overseas scholar also at 10%. At its peak, bond value to pay back was prolly half a mil. Many of us have felt shortchanged when comparing with scholars of yesteryears and left.

Anyone has been nominated and gone for overseas courses/workshops/seminars for a few weeks before? Probably like a regional or international event to exchange knowledge and share ideas etc.
After returning, some form of report or presentation is expected at the school or cluster level.
I'm curious as to whether going for such events boosts your progression in any way.
Thank you!
