Can approve.

But if need to choose a scapegoat during performance ranking, who do you think will surface first on the list on P's mind?

"If teacher XYZ spent more time on school work instead of tuition, they would have performed better..."

Approved tuition more suitable for FAJTs, CAJTs, and those with financial difficulties.

Default DipEd

Hi, i am keen to apply for the Diploma in Education (DipEd) programme. The application is opening up soon and i would like to get some advice/tips on the interview and what to expect.

A little background, i am a diploma graduate student in architecture and is currently working in the industry for about 2 years. Sadly, I do not have an Olevel cert. Will this affect my application?

Once you have a family, being a full time tutor is hard as you won’t be able to be with your kid on weekday evenings and weekends. Being teacher still has more regular (though long) working hours

Fair enough. But at least my work schedule is all under my control.

It would be better to NOT apply for the DipEd programme.
Unless you do exceptionally well to enter the BABSc programme, as a DipEd holder, you will have the same workload as your degree-educated colleagues, but with half the pay.

Can consider if you are aiming to build your credentials for a private tuition career.

Regular hours may not mean anything...for some teachers I know, once they reach home they are not finished with work yet. There's still marking and lesson planning for the next day.

Otherwise, they will be so exhausted that hardly anything can be done (except sleeping lol)

Breeds conflicts with their husbands/wives, even their own kids too.

There’s this one man tuition centres in the wealthy suburbs - I think they pay really well

As they don’t open everyday

I think just twice a week

Just curious if other jobs in the civil service are as demanding as a teacher’s job? Do they need to work in the evenings and on weekends as well?

I guess the major difference is that teachers can’t start their work without proper teaching resources (eg ppt, worksheets or even lesson plans). Teachers just don’t have the luxury of time to “wait until tmr”, not saying that other civil sectors don’t have deadlines.
