Default cross over from EO scheme to school counsellor scheme

Hi, may I seek some advice from you all?

background: currently SEO1, holding SH position in school. been teaching since 2003 (about 15 years).

am looking at going over to MOE school counsellor track, which I am increasingly keen to explore.

my questions that I've been mulling over:

1) is it possible to change over from EO track to school counsellor track?

2) is school counsellor equivalent to AED?

3) must I resign from MOE? Or is there a conversion (sorry can't think of a more suitable word)

4) what is the salary for an untrained school counsellor?

5) who should I speak to for more advice? Is there a number in MOE whom I can speak with?

Hi all, sorry to sidetrack a bit, but when I change my salary crediting bank account in Pac@Gov, how long will the change take?

If I make the change now, will it be effective by July 2018?

Default Connect plan and NPL

2019 Dec I will get connect plan but I am giving birth and after my maternity leave I plan to take no pay leave for a few months. (Should be back in school before Dec 2019).

How will the connect plan be affected? Is it pushed back by the number of months of my NPL? Anyone with experience ?

Thanks

Should be immediate. But usually for civil service, there is a payroll cutoff date where the payroll would have already been generated by HQ. So you can try but I guess if it goes past that date (which I'm unsure of for MOE, For Navy, when I was in the HQ, it was usually 3rd week of the prev month), then just wait for the following month

I do have a friend who switched from EO to school counsellor.
2) is school counsellor equivalent to AED?
I cannot confirm for this but most likely yes
3) must I resign from MOE? Or is there a conversion (sorry can't think of a more suitable word)
School counsellors are under MOE too. They go through practicum as well.
4) what is the salary for an untrained school counsellor?
I think given the answer for no.2, you should roughly know that you will probably experience a pay cut, furthermore you are in SEO grade. But this is typical of any outside private corporation switching to social services sector
5) who should I speak to for more advice? Is there a number in MOE whom I can speak with?
Call the hotline or speak to your school leaders about it

Pushed back by the number of months you will be taking. (E.g. if you take 3 months, it will be 2020 March.

NPL is not considered for Years in Service, which is the element computed for Connect Plan payout dates.

What is your take on switching from HoD to ST track?

How likely is it for a HoD to progress to VP, given all the recent mergers and vacancies available? Not a scholar here. Typical "farmer", but I am lucky enough to be appointed head within 6 years in service.

I'm a female, graduated with FCH (with distinction in TP) and is seconded to an independent school though i am still with MOE.

Entered the teaching service in July 2013.
Performance grades were as follows:

2013: C
2014: B
2015 (promoted to GEO 3): C+
2016: C (had HL of 30 days though officially I took only 7, took 6 days marriage leave too)
2017: C+ (was on 16 weeks ML)

Now I'm at the 5th year in independent school, still GEO 3 drawing 5.2k.

Seems like my progression is halted ever since I took on HL.. any chance of promotion for upcoming year since I'm currently transferred to leadership based CCA?

work 5 years and drawing 5.2k is already considered above average... notwithstanding the combined bonus of 3x and above...
