Cannot imagine term 3 if you are already finding term 2 heavy.

When one is appointed as a principal, does he or she have to go through all timescale promotions (E.g., seo2 to seo3 then to SS G) or will he/she be promoted directly to S G? Just asking out of curiosity.

Female 33 equivalent of first class honors
2016 - Untrained $3500
2017 - GEO2 $3800 (C)
2019 - GEO3 $4500 (C)
2020 - GEO3 $4700 (C)
2021 - GEO3 $4900 (C)
2022 - GEO3 $5020 (C)
2022 salary revision - GEO3 $5500
2023 - GEO3 $5670 (C+)
Just sharing for info. Is it likely for me to get promoted next year? What's the likely increment when GEO4 Is reached? Is it also normal to be stay in GEO3 for so long? Or is this too slow? I had some medical issues the last few years so I haven't been able to perform my best. I'm afraid of being labeled a low performer moving forwards and struggle to break out of it.

Many people are experiencing the same progression rate these days, so don't worry too much.
If you have to make a choice between work, and your health, I think what to choose is pretty obvious. Take care okay!

A first class honours in another ministry would have gotten you accelerated on the management route

It means it's based on a different system.

There are provisions to adjust an officer's grade in a different way from promoting them one grade at a time, but these provisions are rarely ever used. Most of the time they still have to grind through the grades one at a time.
