If we apply to another stat board/ministry for a new post while currently teaching, will the stat board/ministry contact MOE HR to ask for our details such as performance grade?

Will our current school know somehow?

Of course. Whole of government - sure easy to find out and connect

Hi guys, what is the longest duration to take NPL before they remove you from the MOE system?

I don't think there's a need to worry about this. If you're resigning, they won't bother to beg you to stay nowadays.

Know of a HOD who publicly proclaimed that he's leaving, resigned and left within one month to another public service agency. His advice - progression has slowed too much here, so keep your options open and yourself happy and healthy.

Less than 6 mths: you will go back to your own school

More than 6 mths: MOE will reassign you to another school

Other parts of public service, normal for people to get promoted every 3-5 years, even for non-scholars.

MOE progression is really slow.

To reach HOD, is only the equivalent of Assistant Director in HQ. Elsewhere, it is normal for fresh grads to attain AD in 5-7 years of service.

Fast progression is also dependent on turnover. MOE personnel turnover rate at the higher grades (GEO5 and also middle management) is too low, creating one of the worst progression bottlenecks in the public service. We have the talent (for now), but not the opportunities for all of them.

ST highest grade

Hi, anyone knows what is the ceiling grade for ST?
SEO2?

If it is SEO2, how common is it?
3 to 5 years after getting SEO1?

One needs to be awarded with at a MOE Education Merit Scholarship to gain accelerated promotions on top of good performance. That's my personal opinion only.

Estab grade for Senior Teacher is SEO1. To hit SEO2 you need to be appointed to the position of Lead Teacher and meet KRAs for SEO2(LT) for a number of years.
