Is that right? I think it was only $30k during my time and nobody would even think about bond breaking as it was an astronomical sum for most people.

Inflation is real.

Inflation is real.
Those who did the NIE degree, bond around $160k.

Overseas scholars even higher.

10% compound interest on salary and full tuition fees is no joke.

Does CONNECT Plan payout include Practicum year? I heard some say that practicum (3 months) means it's not a full year of teaching (which is total BS) and thus is considered year 0. While others are saying it counts. Can someone who just got their first payout confirm this? Thanks.

Probably depends on how long you're planning to take.

1 week? 1 month? 6 months? 1 year?

Hi, I was given MI from my Jan 2023 pay onwards. I thought the MI increment only starts in April?

Sure or not? Don't just look at the total amount paid to you. Check your itemised payslip. January salary payment can contain a number of things, like OCA Team award that may be some tens or 100+ dollars per pax. Or maybe your personal claim came in.

No, it doesn't include the practicum months.

Your service only starts on your first day as a trained teacher.
