That’s just their impression on age. But seriously, no restrictions on age as KP as long as you are a geo4. I was 31 when I cleared KP interview for SH. My friend went straight for HOD position during enhanced posting and she was also 31 then. She wasn’t a KP before HQ posting. So, age is really not a determining factor. People just like to comment “oh, you are so young”. But don’t let that put you down.

Has anyone tried to fight/appeal for their performance grade before? What was the experience like and what advice would you give, if an officer feels that the grade is unjustified (with credible evidence to prove it)?

Interesting! HOD position? Why did you decide to leave?

Go straight to HR or email your Supt directly. If you go through P or RO, they will surely have many talks with you and show you evidently why your grade is justifiable. So go straight to Supt or HR. Though the chances of overturning a grade is tough, you might get the opportunity to restart in another school. Then you must talk to that P and ask the P from the start to not judge you based on the perception of previous sch. You must be able to prove yourself too.

Are both of you scholars?

Were both of your KP positions in primary schools?

Not scholars. I went to secondary sch while my friend went to a primary sch. It’s really possible if you have proven yourself. Both of us didn’t take any internal positions. We chose to go HQ after first sch stint and after that went for enhanced posting.

Congrats! :) How long ago was this though?

Was the HQ position offered to you? Or did you have to go and search for and apply for a position yourself?

Just a few years ago. We both applied through open posting. It’s possible. The issue I noticed is many ppl only complain but don’t take any action to achieve what they want.

Where got such thing?

So female overseas scholars need to wait till the same age as their male farmer counterparts to get promoted?

Some people are still on accelerated tracks, promoting every 2 years.
